“WOW! These [images] are really captivating, I so appreciate your eye on our little world here; these feel timeless and dramatic and are just stunning!”

Event photography, elevated.

Performance isn’t simply an artist’s craft. It’s their heart. On display. For everyone to see.

They deserve more than mere coverage. They deserve visual stories told with verve.

I’m certainly enthralled with spectacle.

Artists engaged in their craft, spectators fully immersed in revelry, the synergy created between the two.

But I’m more moved by the unseen.

The person behind the performer. The heartwork involved in creating. Their relationship with art itself. Their how. Their why. Their transformation from person to persona.

By the community.

The community of people who make performance possible. The labor they contribute. Their dedication to each other. Their dedication to the arts, and their desire to platform it.

Which is what I photograph for. If you prioritize story over coverage, please reach out. My rates begin at 250 an hour. I’d welcome the opportunity to create together!

And the story.

“Rob made all of us, the space, everything, look so good!!! He has a really unique style that feels very filled with energy.”

— Natale, Bellingham Circus Guild

My vibe.

If you’re looking for a performance photographer, you probably want to know what type of energy they bring to an event, no? Well, I’ve been told that I’m a quiet, calm presence who smiles more than I talk. And it’s true. I’m an autistic ADHD’r with expressive language challenges that sometimes show up as long pauses while talking. (Which might explain my preference for visual stories!) And when it comes to speaking while photographing? Let’s just say I’m a classic “can’t walk and chew gum at the same time” kinda guy. But I feel that this particular characteristic is an advantage as it reduces my influence in an environment; thereby, placing your production right where it needs to be: at the center of the story.
